A regular meeting of the Business Council in the Agro-food sector was held
The meeting was held on 03.12.2022 at 12:00 in the city of Blagoevgrad. There were six present representatives of the sector from the border regions of Haskovo, Kardzhali, Blagoevgrad and Smolyan. The hall for holding the meeting was secured technically, being equipped - multimedia, portable computer, printer, as well as information boards, banner and presentation materials, according to the requirements of the Communication and Publicity Guide of the Interreg V/A Greece-Bulgaria 2014-2020 program . In addition, disinfectants were provided, as well as water, coffee and tea to ensure the event's coffee break.
The discussion that started at the current BC was about insurance
the net output of producers. This subject was raised by a member of the council whose produce had in the past been completely destroyed by heavy rains. Unfortunately, very few producers in the sector are insured. Realistically speaking, mainly the big producers insure their products, and there is no such practice in the case of the smaller ones. The business council therefore decided to take action to counter this
meeting with the disaster and accident commissions of the regional administrations in order to organize information campaigns attended by representatives of various insurance companies to make proposals to the interested parties.
