A regular meeting of the Business Council was held in the RES sector

On 19.11.2022 at 14:00 in the city of Blagoevgrad, a regular meeting of the Business Council was held in the RES sector in the border regions of Blagoevgrad, Haskovo, Kardjali and Smolyan, and the activity is carried out under the project "Business Council - BC 6275" financed from the INTERREG V/A GREECE-BULGARIA 2014-2020 program, Subsidy contract No. B6.3a.18/13.04.2021.

The meeting was attended by six representatives of the sector from the border regions of Haskovo, Kardzhali, Blagoevgrad and Smolyan. The meeting was held in Hall 1, located at 32 Todor Aleksandrov Street in Blagoevgrad. The same was provided technically, being equipped - multimedia, portable computer, printer, microphone/s and sound system, as well as information boards, banner and presentation materials, according to the requirements of the Communication and Publicity Guide of the Interreg V/A Greece-Bulgaria 2014 program -2020.

Those present at the meeting noted that due to the energy crisis, the RES sector has been developing quite rapidly in recent years. This is also related to the increase in prices in the second half of the year. However, this can lead to excess electricity and lower prices. The council members noted that until now the law gave a preferential price to small photovoltaic plants up to 30 kWh that were in urbanized areas, and above 30 kWh were on the open market. Noting that the price on the free market is higher than this preferential price, which is currently BGN 165. per MWh, and on the stock exchange it is over BGN 400 per MWh.

In this regard, representatives of the sector expressed their concerns and even described the Recovery and Resilience Plan as chaos and emphasized that it originally provided for much more funds for many more households.

The Business Council came up with a general decision that the municipalities and/or regional administrations in places should take actions to inform the interested persons to apply for the NPVU. For this purpose, a letter will be drawn up - a request to the relevant institutions to provide information and/or to appoint an expert, who in turn will give guidance to the interested parties.
