A regular meeting of the Business Council was held in the Health sector

On 12.11.2022 from 11:00 a.m. in the city of Blagoevgrad was held a regular meeting on a Business Council in the Health sector in the border regions of Blagoevgrad, Haskovo, Kardzhali and Smolyan, and the activity is carried out under the project "Business Council - BC 6275" financed by the INTERREG V program /A GREECE-BULGARIA 2014-2020, Subsidy contract No. B6.3a.18/13.04.2021.
The meeting was attended by a total of 7 representatives of the sector from the border regions of Haskovo, Kardjali, Blagoevgrad and Smolyan. Hall #2, located at "Todor Aleksandrov" street #32 in the city of Blagoevgrad, was engaged for the meeting. The same was provided technically, being equipped - multimedia, portable computer, printer, microphone/s and sound system, as well as information boards, banner and presentation materials, according to the requirements of the Communication and Publicity Guide of the Interreg V/A Greece-Bulgaria 2014 program -2020. In addition, disinfectants were provided, as well as water, coffee and tea to ensure the event's coffee break.
The representatives of the sector present indicated the limits for the activity of the hospitals, the shortage of personnel and insufficient funding as the main problems in health care. Mr. Bozhidar Vasilev emphasized that the problems in health care are not only of a financial nature. Regarding the lack of personnel, he pointed out that young professionals are looking not only for decent remuneration, but also for an environment and opportunities for their families, which in many cases is lacking. In this sense, it is important for young specialists what conditions are offered to them, especially in small towns, and remuneration is only in third place among their priorities.
The participants of the business council unanimously expressed their opinion that they should focus their efforts on improving awareness and interaction with institutions to solve the problems of lack of personnel.
