A regular meeting of the Business Council was held in the Textile priority sector
On 20.09.2022 from 4:30 p.m. in the "Knowledge" hall in the town of Haskovo, a regular meeting of the Business Council in the Textile sector was held in the border regions of Blagoevgrad, Haskovo, Kardjali and Smolyan, and the activity is carried out under the project "Business Council - BC 6275" financed by program INTERREG V/A GREECE-BULGARIA 2014-2020, Subsidy contract No. B6.3a.18/13.04.2021.
The meeting was attended by 4 representatives of the sector from the border regions of Haskovo, Kardjali, Blagoevgrad and Smolyan.
The moderator of the event welcomes all present, including and those who participated remotely, as a proposal was made for the agenda of the meeting.
The participants of the meeting raised the issue of the waste that the sector produces. It turns out that the textile industry is the fourth largest polluter of the environment. At the discussion, it was noted that it is necessary to restructure the productions with the aim of their high energy efficiency. The Council decided to study the issue of financing SMEs in the construction of installations and the purchase of new energy-saving machines.
Ways to accelerate the transition to a circular economy and how we can recycle waste material were also discussed.
