A regular meeting of the Business Council was held in the Waste Management sector
On 14.09.2022 at 2:30 p.m., in the building of the municipal administration of Smolyan, a meeting of the Business Council was held in the priority sector Waste Management in the border regions of Blagoevgrad, Haskovo, Kardjali and Smolyan, and the activity is carried out under the project "Business Council - BC 6275" financed by the INTERREG V/A GREECE-BULGARIA 2014-2020 program, Subsidy contract No. B6.3a.18/13.04.2021.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Waste Management sector from the border regions of Haskovo, Kardjali, Blagoevgrad and Smolyan. A hall in the Smolyan municipal administration was engaged. It was technically secured, being equipped with: multimedia, laptop, printer, microphone/s and sound system, as well as information boards, banner and presentation materials, according to the requirements of the Communication and Publicity Guide of the Interreg V/A Greece-Bulgaria program 2014-2020. In addition, disinfectants were provided, as well as water, coffee, tea to ensure the coffee break of the event.
The moderator of the event welcomes all present, including and those who participated remotely, as a proposal was made for the agenda of the meeting.
The meeting attendees discussed the development of a large-scale online campaign to promote household and SME waste management. Recommendations were given for the separate collection and recycling of household, textile and non-hazardous industrial waste.
A participant in the council commented on the waste management policies and suggestions were made on which to emphasize when preparing the publications for the online campaign.
