The first regular meeting of the Business Council in the Sustainable Tourism Sector was held
On 05.04.2022 from 15:30 in the ceremonial hall of Chitalishte "Nikola Vaptsarov - 1894" - Bansko was held the first regular meeting of the Business Council in the sector of sustainable tourism in the border areas of Blagoevgrad, Haskovo, Kardzhali and Smolyan, and the activity is carried out under a project " Business Council - BC 6275 ”financed by the INTERREG V / A GREECE-BULGARIA 2014-2020 program, Subsidy contract № B6.3a.18 / 13.04.2021.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Municipality of Bansko, Garmen Municipality, representatives of the Regional Chamber of Crafts - Bansko, business representatives from the border districts of Haskovo, Kardzhali, Blagoevgrad and Smolyan. For interested persons who have not had the opportunity to attend physically, an online connection is provided.
There was a discussion on topics suggested by the participants, who had a lot of ideas and questions to discuss. After a long discussion and after everyone who wished was given the floor, a common idea for the development of a single tourist product was formed. The idea formed in this way includes the proposals for the preparation of a cultural calendar, which would cover the territory of several municipalities; creation of a house of arts and crafts, as well as a school for craftsmen; traveling workshop for children and adults. It was suggested to emphasize the creative development and education of children by holding various events together with our Greek partners. The issue of creating profiles on social networks in order to promote and advertise the common tourist product was also raised.
In summary, we can say that the discussion was beneficial for all participants in the council. Follow-up goals have been set, with members making suggestions and choosing the name and focus of the initiative.
