Cooperation in the recycling industry of Kavala Expo
On September 29, 2023, a Business Council meeting in the Waste Management Sector was held during the Kavala Expo exhibition. Representatives of the business and owners of the recycling sector took part in the meeting. The main objective was to discuss opportunities for collective actions and cooperation between Bulgarian and Greek companies, as well as to identify the key challenges for the industry.
The discussion focuses on the benefits of partnership between Bulgarian and Greek enterprises in the sector, including opportunities for joint initiatives, sharing resources and exchange of know-how. Participants discussed specific steps to improve the efficiency and resistance of recycling practices.
The main challenges identified during the meeting were regulatory requirements, technological restrictions, market competition and waste management problems. The present exchanged ideas and offered strategies to deal with these difficulties in order to increase the competitiveness of the sector.
The event was organized by the Development of Culture Tourism Environment - DE. Cu.T.e. Within the framework of the Business Council-BC 6275 project, funded by the Interreg V/A Greece-Bulgaria 2014-2020, SubSidy Contract №B6.3A.18/13.04.2021.
The meeting ended with a commitment to continue discussions and build long -term partnerships aimed at sustainable development of the recycling industry in the region.
