The first meeting of the Business Council in the Technology Sector was held in Xanthi
The meeting of the representatives of the technological sector took place on 19.06.2023. in Xanthi was organized by the association "Development of culture tourism environment" - DE. CU.T.E. under the project "Business Council - BC 6275" financed by INTERREG V/A GREECE-BULGARIA 2014-2020 program, Subsidy contract №B6.3a.18/13.04.2021.
The first meeting with representatives of the technology sector in Xanthi focused on entering the technology landscape of the Greek market, promoting understanding of the need for enterprises to adapt to the evolving technological era through education and exploring avenues of cooperation, especially with Bulgaria, for exchange of ideas and stimulating innovation.
The focus of the discussion was identifying the needs in the technology industry brought about by emerging technologies, cybersecurity measures and building the infrastructure needed to support technological advancements.
An important aspect of the discussion revolved around the need for businesses to educate themselves and their workforce to effectively navigate the rapidly changing technology landscape. Participants highlighted the need for continuous learning, upskilling and reskilling to maintain competitiveness in the digital age, recognizing that education is central to driving successful technology integration.
In addition, discussions focused on opportunities for cooperation, especially with Bulgaria, to exchange ideas, share best practices and participate in joint ventures that promote innovation. Attendees recognized the potential of cross-border partnerships to drive mutual growth and drive the technology sector forward.
