In Kavala, an introductory meeting was held in the Energy sector
The project partners, association "Development of culture tourism environment" - DE. CU.T.E. organizes the inaugural meeting in the renewable energy sector, convened on April 19, 2023 in the city of Kavala. The meeting marked the beginning of joint efforts to advance renewable energy initiatives. The agenda included discussion of the program of the project "Business Council - BC 6275" financed by INTERREG V/A GREECE-BULGARIA 2014-2020 program, Subsidy contract No. B6.3a.18/13.04.2021, the organizational measures for future meetings and outline of the main objective of the project.
The meeting began with an overview of the Business Councils programme, highlighting its importance as a platform to promote cooperation and drive innovation in the renewable energy sector. Participants explored the potential benefits of the program in facilitating networking opportunities, knowledge sharing and collective action to address common challenges.
Participants discussed the organizational structure of the councils, including scheduling, agenda setting, roles and responsibilities of stakeholders involved in coordinating future sessions.
Plans were made to hold subsequent meetings on a regular basis, with a combination of on-site and virtual participation to accommodate different schedules and geographic locations.
The main objective of the project was outlined, which focuses on promoting sustainable development, reducing carbon emissions and accelerating the transition to a renewable energy future. Participants emphasized the importance of collective action to achieve these goals.
Discussions revolved around potential collaborative initiatives to be undertaken as part of the Business Council agenda, including research and development projects, policy advocacy efforts and public awareness campaigns to promote the adoption of renewable energy.
