A member of the council presented data from recent studies that the textile industry provides 4.5 billion exports, which equals 11% of Bulgaria's exports.

Our country has long traditions in the textile industry, which is decisive for the high quality of the manufactured products. Accordingly, the demand for Bulgarian products is also increasing. This is where the most serious problem of the textile industry in our country stems from, namely the lack of qualified labor.

As the members of the council have shared in other border areas, the lack of qualified personnel is one of the main problems for the development of our country as a competitive force in the textile industry.

In connection with the above, those present at the meeting decided to prepare an information campaign in the form of brochures, which, with the help of local authorities, will be distributed in educational institutions in the territory of the district and thus increase the popularity of the career opportunities that the textile industry offers.
