A regular meeting of the Business Council in the Health sector was held in Simitli
On 25.02.2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the town of Simitli, a regular meeting of the Business Council was held in the Health sector in the border regions of Blagoevgrad, Haskovo, Kardzhali and Smolyan, and the activity was carried out under the project "Business Council - BC 6275" financed from the INTERREG V/A GREECE-BULGARIA 2014-2020 program, Subsidy contract No. B6.3a.18/13.04.2021.
The meeting was attended by 5 representatives of the sector from the border regions of Haskovo, Kardjali, Blagoevgrad and Smolyan. A hall in the "St. Kliment Ohridski - 1922" Simitli. The same was provided technically, being equipped - multimedia, portable computer, printer, microphone/s and sound system, as well as information boards, banner and presentation materials, according to the requirements of the Communication and Publicity Guide of the Interreg V/A Greece-Bulgaria 2014 program -2020. In addition, disinfectants were provided, as well as water, coffee and tea to ensure the event's coffee break.
The moderator of the event welcomed everyone present, leaving time for a short introduction of the new members of the business council. A few minutes were set aside for the presentation of the Regulations for the work of the BS in the health sector.
The main topic that came up from council members during the open discussion was about health care changes and the fact that they don't always depend on the budget.
The council members were unanimous in their opinion that people's attitude towards healthy living is changing and growing. The role of education is key – people's informed choice of what to eat and drink; avoiding smoking and taking harmful substances; physical culture and sports for health.
Those present at the meeting were unanimous that it is necessary to focus their efforts on improving the awareness of the youngest children in kindergartens and primary schools by printing brochures, the content of which should be appropriate for the age group, about the benefits of healthy eating and regular sports. In order to prepare and distribute the materials, the cooperation of the local authorities is necessary, which will give additional weight to the campaign.
