A regular meeting of the Business Council was held in the RES sector
The discussion took place in the context of the new changes in the Energy Law, which provide for the exit of green energy producers on the regulated stock market from January 1, 2019, which in turn change the conditions for investors. One of the members of the BS present pointed out that this change is being made without the consent of the companies and in practice the existing contracts under which the investors have made their investments are being amended. Another representative added that so far, RES investors have not been exposed to market risk from a price point of view – “Our stock market is relatively illiquid, quite volatile, the participation of RES energy is likely to increase volatility even more. In this way, a real market risk is created for investors". The participants in the meeting requested that a general meeting be organized with the representatives of the responsible institutions to receive additional clarifications and proposals for supplementing the law.
