A regular meeting of the Business Council was held in the Health sector
On 11.07.2022 at 17:30 in the town of Harmanli, a regular meeting of the Business Council was held in the Health sector in the border regions of Blagoevgrad, Haskovo, Kardjali and Smolyan, and the activity is carried out under the project "Business Council - BC 6275" financed from the INTERREG V/A GREECE-BULGARIA 2014-2020 program, Subsidy contract No. B6.3a.18/13.04.2021.The meeting was attended by 5 sector representatives from the border regions of Haskovo, Kardzhali, Blagoevgrad and Smolyan. A hall in "Local History" at the Harmalny Cultural Institute was engaged for the meeting.
The moderator of the event welcomed everyone present and a proposal was made for the agenda of the event.
Those present discussed the case with the hospital in the town of Harmanli, which is about to be closed due to the current regulations. The lack of patients and the lack of personnel have put the medical facility, which is municipal, in front of the almost impossible situation to function. The lack of anyone willing to take over the management of the hospital is also on the agenda.
The participants in the business council unanimously expressed their opinion that they should focus their efforts on improving the awareness of society and institutions about the problems that the hospital in Harmanli has.
